I am building a doghouse and wanted to turn on the lights and heater and found this heater performed well and just had to try it. In the test, the heater heats up quickly and the temperature stays exactly in the range I set. I tried turning it on all the way, and after 15 minutes the front panel temperature was still touch-safe, which really impressed me. The intake is located at the rear along with the thermostat sensor. It looks like it would just hang up when framing a doghouse, which I'm really happy about. There are no cons, an excellent heater that makes me very happy with the purchase.
