Review on Precision Temperature Desoldering: Unmatched Soldering Equivalence by Keith Desjarlais

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not for the faint of heart.

It was a great year for soldering, I had a normal everyday hakko clone but then I got ts100 and didn't think it could be better then I got this bad boy , no reason plane did that thing can't overcome. I didn't have a fee she couldn't handle. I made my own lithium battery packs and soldered the contacts but decided to spot weld, I used this to join my 4 gauge leads together, melting the solder and tip with no problem. breathtaking.

Pros
  • Adjustable temperature: Temperature range: 200°C - 599°C; Temperature Stability: ±2.0°C. PID temperature control technology that cycles through the program every 20 milliseconds to detect the actual temperature of the soldering iron heating element and correct it quickly with a quick return to the correct set point temperature.
Cons
  • Not bad but...
