Either I'm using it wrong or something because this thing can't locate the bolt. I've tried turning the stud finder on against the wall and in a couple of places I've tried turning it on away from the wall and making circles with it to see if it can be calibrated. He never even shows me anywhere near the center of the tip and tells me the tip is 1-2 inches on center in the same area. If it's user error I'll keep playing with it, but it seems unreliable at the moment. It's also annoying to find power, even when I'm near a switch or outlet.
