Review on Black PTM Power Foldaway Passenger Side Mirror for Honda CR-V EX/LX Models - Fit System 63025H by Payton Stovall

Easy even for an absolute beginner.

It was my turn to smash the side mirror as I pulled out of our cramped garage. I'm pretty good with tools, but I've never tried to fix anything on our machines. Because this mirror was so cheap, I decided to give it a try before I gave up and paid the full price for my crime. Yes, there are NO videos on YouTube that help with this. Luckily, if you search "Door Panel Removal - Honda CR-V", there are a few that will give the general idea. Removing the door panel and installing the mirror is actually quite easy - even for someone who has never done anything like this before. The only problem was that it took me a few minutes to realize that the little black rubber tubes covering the threads of the new mirror were there only to protect the screws. Just tear them off and throw them away. Only a complete novice would make such a mistake, but perhaps others will benefit as well. The only advice I can give to those trying this for the first time is to place the removed parts in labeled containers very carefully for faster reassembly. It looks damn close to the original and works well. Installation only took about 40 minutes for a newbie, pretty cool.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
