This radio has only average sound quality. The main reason I bought this is because I already have several other 18v ryobi instruments and wanted a battery powered radio that could be used with a standard 18v ryobi battery. FM reception is ok but not great. The antenna is very small. So if you live in a remote area you will likely have trouble picking up the radio. Also, the FM sound quality is pretty bad. The sound is very dull. I had to manually lower the treble to the highest setting and the bass to one of the lowest settings to make the sound better. On the other hand, the Bluetooth sound is very good and I had no problem pairing my phone to listen to music.
