The only reason to spend so much money on a trash can is for perfectly tailored bags. There's almost something cute about taking out the trash and swapping out the bag - it fits snugly to the floor, drapes right on the inside, and the waist is neither too tight nor too loose. But I've tried similar fake V-Size bags to recycle half of my bin and they fit sloppy compared to the OEM bags. When SimpleHuman started only selling H-garbage bags in packs of 100 (call me crazy, but I can't bring myself to spend more than $40 at a time on garbage bags, even though they could be cheaper per bag), I thought about that after trying this one. They are almost the same as the OEM bags. They're a little thinner and a little less stretchy, but I haven't had a single tear and it's not a suit, after all. But these bags are close enough to the real thing and at a much lower price that I will keep buying them. Be careful though: you don't have the SimpleHuman logo that impresses your neighbors and scavengers so much.
