Totally groundbreaking for my large black German shepherd - he always overheats even on small hikes - we have to stop and let him cool down every time the sun comes out - although we always avoid very hot days and go early in the morning. Lightweight, easy to put on, this vest will keep you cool during a 3-hour hike. He has no problem wearing it either - a great find and very happy with it. Most importantly, our dog kept up and enjoyed every moment of the hike.
