Cool to the touch. The lid of the kettle can be removed without burning your hands. Very attractive.
I wanted to wait until I use the kettle a bit before writing a review. I have to say that I am completely satisfied with this kettle. I love the classic retro design, I love the red/stainless steel. I really like that the bottom is wide enough so the flame doesn't "lick" the sides of the pot. I like that the handle is "cool". I really like that the lid of the kettle can be easily removed without burning your hand. I like the instruction to empty the kettle after each use and let it dry to avoid limescale build-up - an instruction I don't remember getting on other kettles. No problem to report!
