This is the second Fanteck knife I've bought through Revain. I was very happy with the first purchase, both in terms of looks, finish, features and presentation when opening the box. When I ordered this knife I knew I would have earned my money had I been just as happy with this purchase. What I found was that I was even happier with this knife! First, this knife comes in a prettier presentation box than the previous knife (plastic presentation rather than cardboard). Secondly, the knife sharpener is of higher quality than other knife sharpeners. I love the fact that they include sharpeners with their knives. It's not something they should be doing or what other companies are doing in my opinion, but it's like a little gift, a little extra that you don't expect. When you open the box you will see a beautiful knife in a familiar blade pattern (familiar if you have already bought a Fanteck knife). The swirling design of the blade gives it a unique look and I think it will help hide rust stains if you let your knives get those nasty stains. The pen itself also has a unique design with a multicolored wooden grip and an acrylic rim. Needless to say I love knives that look good so buying them was an easy task. But how does a knife actually work? If the first knife I bought from them was the best knife I've ever owned, then this new knife from them should be at least as good, right? TO THE RIGHT! In fact, I would even say it's even better. The handle has become a bit more ergonomic. It also seems to be a bit more balanced than the other knives. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the first knife, I just feel like they took everything I loved at first and made it even better. I've cut, diced, and shredded quite a bit of vegetables, fruit, and meat with this knife, and every cut was smooth and easy. I would recommend this knife to all my foodie friends!
