Review on Tunable AFD Technology ADC Adscope 615 Platinum Tactical Sculpted Clinician Stethoscope by Chris Shields

I am an ER Doctor using this stethoscope writing this review. I had been using the cardiology III stethoscope, lost it, and was using this stethoscope for one month. I see many patients and use my stethoscope 20-30 times per day. This is a comparison between the Littman Cardiology III and the ADC Tactical StethoscopeAppearance- The ADC Tactical wins this one. This is an attractive stethoscope with appealing colors and ergonomics. Cardiology III looks good as well but this one winsEarpiece- The ADC Tactical includes 3 sets of earpieces. These are very cheap, flimsy, and low quality. Cardiology III wins on this due to much higher quality earpieces.Sound Quality- Probably the most important quality measure. Reading the other reviews I expected the sound quality to be great and comparable to the Cards III but it is not. Sound quality is better than comparable cheap stethoscopes but it is terrible. Hearing murmurs is nearly impossible and it is difficulty to even hear quality lung sounds. The volume is much lower the acoustics are not nearly as good. As far as sound quality if you are looking of a stethoscope in a lower price range, this is fine but don't expect high quality or acoustics.Durability- I had mine for a short time but appears to be a very durable stethoscope.Overall- ADC Tactical has poor sound quality compared to Littman Cardiology III, but it is adequate depending on what you want to do. If you are looking for high quality acoustics, look elsewhere. If you want (very) basic auscultation for a good price this stethoscope is fine.
