I have two and three year old kids who are both obsessed with watching surprise egg videos on YouTube and this nest egg has become their new favorite thing! Eggs are very easy to open, close, and nest inside one another, but they also stay closed and won't open on their own. We revived them by painting them. We used baby washable paint and it lays down and stays great. When we painted them they were like full eggs, I started to worry that the paint drying over the canter would make them difficult to open again, but that's not the case. It was just as easy to open before and after painting. However, I will add that they were painted by a toddler and a preschooler, so there wasn't a lot of thick paint. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review and I highly recommend it. As Easter approaches, they fit a lot better in an Easter basket than those cheap plastic eggs, and you'll use them year-round. My kids will spend an hour each just playing with these nest eggs! They are a big hit in our house and I am very happy with them!
