I came across this product after searching 'best wine opener' on google and after getting it I now understand why there are many good reviews of him. I used the "Ah-So" cork remover. It has two pins that are inserted on either side of the cork and then twisted to remove the cork. Ah-So is unusual, compact (I prefer larger openers that take up too much drawer space) and fits perfectly in the case. But recently, to my surprise, he broke the neck of a wine bottle with a solid cork, and the fragments cut my hand in several places. I have experience opening wine bottles and can do it quickly. I never thought something like this could happen. The HiCoup opener is almost as compact as the Ah-So opener, feels good in the hand and promises more security. The package also includes a foil cutter, which is not included in Ah-So's opener. So I'm looking forward to this improvement and will be using it for decades to come.
