Just like the original plastic latch on my mailbox.
Because it is identical to the original, it is easy to install and works like new. The lid and top have two pins that fit into two holes on the inside, slide closures so it would be difficult to find a closure that closes like this original replacement. I'm glad this original design saved me at least $20. and working on replacing the box. And I know the postman appreciates having a handle to open and close the mailbox.
