It will frustrate you to no end!

In my 43 years I've collected countless pieces of furniture, exercise equipment, toys, gadgets and everything else in the world, but this was one of the most frustrating things I've ever had to collect. . There are many flaws in the design. There are no instructions to speak of, other than a picture showing how the bolts and nuts should fit together and a phrase telling you to match them. The problem is getting the nuts and bolts together. They designed it so the nut fits snugly in the top compartment, it has lugs that hold the nut in place, an epic mistake! That's wrong. Yes, it holds the nut in place but still allows her to move around a bit, enough to cause a problem. If you try to thread a bolt into a nut, the nut will move slightly so they are no longer aligned, and if you try to apply force you will strip the bolt. So you have to go back and try over and over again and you will get the picture. To make matters worse you don't have room for your fingers to start turning the bolt, you have to use a screwdriver from the start. Rather than tidying up the space for the nut, they should have allowed the nut to move freely and left enough room for you to put your finger in to hold the nut while tightening. If you can manage to turn nuts and bolts without going crazy then you have 2 tires to fit your bike which is another design flaw. To do this you need another person to help you hold the bike so you can adjust the tires, then turn the damn thing upside down and try to keep the tires from moving and do the final tightening . You have to repeat this step several times before you can set the correct tire clearance where your bike tire is just right. If they had designed it so you could tighten the bolts from the top, that final step would take a fraction of the time, slide the tires to the correct spacing and tighten, done. Hopefully the manufacturer reads this and hires someone better qualified to reverse engineer it. In the meantime, save yourself some frustration and buy kickstands from RAD or Bikehand, they cost more but come pre-assembled and don't need to be adjusted.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
