This case is almost perfect for the job with the following positives: -- It's flawless because it protects. With a silicone case and hard outer case, you could probably throw it in a rock without damaging the drive. Of course I won't prove it, but it's very well done. The carabiner for the silicone case is handy if you only want to take the drive with you for short trips (e.g. to a conference room) and attach it to your belt loop and don't want to fiddle with the whole case. -- The case keeps the USB cable from falling out if you open it upside down, which I inevitably do. The only downside is that you get a lot of bulk to offer this level of protection. The T7 measures 3.35 x 2.24 x 31 inches. This case measures 5.4 x 4 x 1.5 inches. This means you are looking at 60% to 485% (depending on the size) and the total size is 14 times larger than the HDD. I carry three of these for virtual machine storage, and when I have three of these cases I have to stop using my laptop sleeve and go back to my laptop backpack.
