Worse than the built-in webcam

I have a Macbook Pro. The webcams on them are not very good. I bought this webcam because it promised to be better - high resolution, normal frame rate, and Mac compatibility. Unfortunately, what is meant by "Mac Compatible" is compatible with a photo booth and nothing else. Also, and this is an important point, the camera is annoying. This is of much lower quality than the built-in webcam.
