As far as I can tell, everyone now understands that a speaker's lack of a protective grid makes a short charging cable +h. They chose not to install it because it would be simpler to shake it out rather than try to deduct from such a small grid, but only time will tell. There is a slight lack of sound clarity, but this already falls into a more expensive category. For the price, it is quite acceptable, but I will still count it as a con even though other products in this price range have even worse clarity.
