Review on Pacon Art1St Mixed Media Sheets by Kelsey Brown

I bought this paper for my creative kids ages 10 and 11 to make them stop asking about my art paper and canvases when theirs Media no longer linger on papers they had. This paper is perfect for that. Children notice that the paper looks smooth and "fancy". I tested it for myself because I thought it might be a good general practice document. An 11-year-old girl saw my paper squiggles from the tester and was amazed at how they held up under any strain. There were no feathers on any of the media I tried. Crayola markers are great, I can even make blends. Doesn't leak. Watercolor - blends well but creases a lot less than expected, does not sink in, not really suitable for adults or teens wanting to improve their watercolor skills. Can be suitable for a quick work for an artist who wants to convey his idea but has a lot of other practice. Gel pens - good, no nicks. It smudges but doesn't take long to dry. The micrometers are very good, no dents and almost no waiting time for flawless work. Acrylic/Latex - Holds a decent coat, similar to watercolor, works for general creativity but not for an artist honing their craft. Alcohol markers - do not mix well and are over-absorbed. Wouldn't recommend it. The 11-year-old could even tell that was the only thing that wasn't working well on paper. Pencil, Oil Pastels, and Chalk - OK, you can see the surface of the paper, but it's still smooth. Graphite pencils (artist quality) are a good smooth decent mix. I don't have charcoal but I suspect they would be fine since chalk worked well too. I will definitely buy this paper for kids again and maybe find a use for myself.
