Review on 🚙 Reese Towpower 11004 18" Hitch Box Extension: Enhance Towing Capacity with Added Length by Aries Greene

I bought this to extend the receiver hitch because my camper pickup is 18 inches longer than my truck. It's great for towing my 3000 lb boat. When towing, I didn't notice any particular rocking of the boat. I will also use it for my bike rack. Like other Reese products I've tried, this one seems very well built. A few things to note: - The extender is a 2" to 2" receiver - This extender is rated for a gross trailer weight of 4,000lbs. However, you must not exceed 65% of your car's tow bar. (Some extensions limit you to 50% of the vehicle's hitch capacity.) - You may need to increase the length of your trailer's safety chains to access your vehicle's hitch. You cannot attach safety chains to an extension. You may need to extend the trailer light cord to reach the vehicle outlet.
