Takes some getting used to, close your eyes and keep calm when using it. Because this is a more powerful 12x50 scope than my 10x42 binoculars, you need to adjust the focus more, and every slight tug will cause the field of view to shift even more. It's a bit harder for me to pull it to my eye and get it where I was looking. I wish the monocular had a grip so my hand didn't have to squeeze so hard. I thought a lighter monocular would be better for my arthritic hands, but I still hold it with both hands to steady it and move the grip. (Although it can be used with one hand) Also, I had to buy a special shoulder strap with a screw in the mount to carry it. The monocular does not have a built-in strap loop, only a strap loop on the body. Otherwise, the color and image quality are excellent. What is nice is that it is much more compact than conventional binoculars.
