I use these coffee filters with my LePrem. I'm sure those who use it know to rinse before use. I put the filter, rinse it with hot water from the tap (it also heats the glass), drain the water, put the soil in the filter, pour the soil with boiling water. pretty easy stuff here, even a rocket scientist can figure it out. The trick is to flush the filter, which will remove any paper dust that may be present. I'm sure I'm using more bases than necessary, but that's the great thing about these filters. No matter how much coffee grounds you use, the filter removes the acidity and strong bitter taste, leaving you with a great cup of (strong) coffee. I am happy with this filter used with my LePrem. You will never use a french press again.
