Review on Screw Spacers and Washers for Pegboard Mounting by Darrin Parasson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Added a clock to install, ruined a good record

This is terrible! The screws break, bend, break, don't hold. The washers are flimsy and bend when you try to tighten them (if they wanted to upsize the bolts to a #10 or so, they wouldn't need washers at all). The screws break very easily. Attaching the spacers requires reaching behind the pinhole, which is not easy when it's partially raised. A couple of spacers cracked as I tightened the board. When I finally lifted the board, 16 horizontally in the middle and 12 vertically, it sagged! The bolts turned out to be bending rather than supporting the weight. I took everything off and installed the trim which resulted in a much more secure fit.

Pros
  • Spacer
Cons
  • Has been damaged
