An excellent lens for its price. Have fun.

Some photos of Fisheye Meike 8mm f3.5. I made some adjustments in Photoshop. I played around and saw what I could do with the lens and the effects it gave me. Overall, I'm impressed with the ease of use and the sharpness of the lens. They were all shot with a Canon SL1 18MP DSLR. I did not correct the lens distortion. I see serious joy with this lens. It should be remembered that this is a manual lens. If you're used to handheld photography, you won't have any problems and you'll be happy with the results. If you're not a manual shooter, you'll enjoy playing with this lens. It just takes time and patience to see what manual mode has to offer. Have fun and with this lens you can achieve many effects you choose. The lens is sharp and well made. It feels solid and mine feels good in my hand. Aperture and focus are smooth and responsive. There are slight clicks of the bezel to let you know you're changing it, but be careful, it's so smooth it's easy to miss your target. But if you're not shooting moving subjects, which fisheye isn't good for anyway, that's no problem because it's digital! Just take another shot. For the price, this is a very good entry-level fisheye that won't break the bank and will give you hours of enjoyment.
