This timer has both a stopwatch (countdown) and timer (countdown) function. The home screen is the clock and the mode button is pressed once to go to the timer function. It also has an alarm clock feature that you can access by double-pressing the mode button. Simply skip the alarm by pressing the mode button again to return to the clock. The instructions are on the front and back of 4 and 5/16 x 3 and 3/16 inch paper, so the characters were tiny, but they were also light gray, making them harder to see. This timer has an on/off switch, but if you turn it off, the clock will lose time. If you're using the mute feature, this timer should be visible, as it just uses a small flashing red dot to alert you. I keep this timer on the fridge but I also like the built in stand. If you only need a TIMER, get the KTKUDY [2020 New Version] Kitchen Timer, although it only counts up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
