Do you remember cell phones from the 90s? A flip phone with a webcam on a 320 pixel screen? Yes, this camera can do that. It costs more than the C920 (which produces a GREAT 1080p image) but produces the equivalent of that flip phone camera. Color Accuracy: Sharp, sudden and random changes in white balance depending on what's in the frame - for example I stopped. a cup of brick-colored coffee, and by the end of the session the camera caught a yellow-reddish hue and didn't let go. Every time I turn it on it changes hue even though the ambient light stays constant. Image quality: very, very bad. Image tearing occurs at any resolution above 640x480 pixels - as I said, this is a 90's flip phone sensor. It's also very slow - feels like 10fps at 1080p and above. At 720p, if you bang your elbow on a table or anything else, the image will jelly-like during a live call. You can also see vignetting in the corners if the zoom level is not correct. Backlight compensation: none. In fact, in broad daylight with the blinds open in sunny Florida, this camera obscured the image SO MUCH that you couldn't tell if it was on or not. Manual Focus: Works great, if a bit sensitive. Manual zoom: excellent, smooth enough. Tripod mount: perfect. Privacy: Comes with a lens cap.
