I ran from home to a telephone pole about 50 yards away using an unused conduit hidden there and under the driveway. Unfortunately, the home/driveway/property/wetland is set up in such a way that I can't run new wiring or pipe without ripping up the driveway. I used partially laid out CAT6 cable, but since I can't bury much of it, it was vulnerable to animal damage. I took a 48V power supply from Revain and screwed it into the socket that came with it. Added BNC adapters to both ends of the coax cable and it works great. The mast pickup is housed in a weatherproof housing. Currently, the output of the converter is connected to a 4-port PoE (Power over PoE) splitter. This then powers 3 PoE cameras averaging 6.5-8W each at 48V. Installation took just a few minutes. There is a 75 ohm 5-1500MHz surge protector at the end of the cable that easily passes through. I will update this review if I come across any durability issues.
