Comes in open packaging Batteries appear to be used

This package was previously opened, taped back together, and mailed to me with no Energizer labels, just a plastic sleeve that was cut open. Batteries appear to have some sort of crimp on the metal surface. I don't know if I should be concerned about this damage but I will not put them in the children's toy I bought them for. I should have just bought them at the hardware store.
