
This power supply is one of the few that supplies the promised 5.1V for all loads. While it's not strictly *necessary* for your Pi, it's a great way to ensure you have enough power (especially if you're powering USB devices etc.) up to the Pi's input limit. My PSU supports 5.1 until 5.2. V at all loads from 0.1A to 3.3A (and still above 5V when the safety cutout has tripped at 3.6A). This is by far the best Raspberry Pi power supply I've tested. My only complaint is that the push button switch means you can't see if the device is on or off before plugging it in. I prefer toggle switches so I can know if it's on or off without powering the Pi.
