Well made fuse holder.

Based on questions and other feedback I have decided to include some photos and more details on the product. I received a pack of 5 12ga fuse holders today. Seems very difficult. I ordered 12 gauge and my kit is marked "12AWG" on the wires (you can see this in the attached photo). For comparison, my photo shows 14 ga black copper wire at the top (my own wire), 12 ga black copper wire in the middle (my own sample again), and 12 ga red fuse holder wire at the bottom. The fuse holder wire and my example 12ga are the same gauge. Please note that the fuse holder wire (red) is NOT made of COPPER as stated in the product description. It's not attracted to a magnet, meaning it's not steel. Not sure if it's aluminum but they shine through the cut, not plated copper. The individual strands are strong and resist tearing by "perturbating" them back and forth (I've tried). I'm not sure what 12 volt loads I use them for, but I once had a house that was built with aluminum wiring in the 1970's. Romex style wire (they later banned it due to heat/expansion issues and resulting fires), and the electrician used a thicker gauge wire as aluminum isn't as good a conductor as copper, at least that's what they told me. . So the standard 12 ga circuits, which should be wired copper, were wired 10 ga aluminum and the standard 14 ga wires were wired 12 ga aluminum. This may not matter in 12V automotive circuits, regardless these E-Support fuse holders are well made and insulated. Another photo shows them with standard size ATO blade fuses instead of mini fuses. However, they fit a mini fuse (I'm not recommending this, just saying). My kit had 30 amp fuses. cents for size comparison.

Pros
  • Easy installation. Simply insert a fuse and cut the line at the desired point.
Cons
  • Sad Equipment
