My girl had surgery, had to wear it for 14 days, yes she tried to take it off but when she realized she couldn't, she let it alone. She can back down but you have to be vigilant, she wasn't able to lick the scar area I was in to protect her rights. A good comfortable cone, I didn't take it off so I'll wash it after removing it.
