At first I thought the idea was great - putty in a tube! I thought it would be easier to apply than regular putty and better to fill in as it has a creamier consistency. Although much easier to apply than regular putty, it shrinks terribly as it dries. I used it to fill two small holes in the drywall that previously had anchors in them. The holes were 3/8 inch in diameter. Photo after the SECOND application. On the first application, I filled the holes completely and scraped off the excess with a spatula, leaving a smooth, even surface. dried up and shrunk so that the holes were only half filled. I reapplied this putty and completely filled the holes leaving a smooth finish. The next day it dried up again and shrank (you can see this photo here). I think it will take two more applications to actually get a smooth and even finish. The result might be a little better than regular putty, but it's crazy that it takes four applications to fill small holes in drywall. Maybe it is designed only for very small cracks?
