I was very pleased with this kettle but I recommend you sacrifice looks and buy something more functional. For €50 I had expected a very high-quality kettle. Before that, I had a $15 Target kettle that was much better. My first issue is that the lid and handle get too hot to touch so I have to use oven mitts every time I pick up the pot. I drink at least two cups of tea every day, so if you're like me I'd choose something else. However, the biggest problem is not the heat. The biggest problem is that the handle came loose after just a few weeks of use. I'm afraid the handle will fall off now and get burned when I fill it. I used a screwdriver to tighten the knob but I'm not sure I want to risk it and I don't think I had to use a screwdriver to tighten the knob after two weeks. Nice to look at, but if you want something you will use all the time, don't buy it.
