Patience is a Virtue

So, in case you haven't noticed, this pedal has a recurring theme. IT TAKES WORK AND PATIENCE to put it on. Here's what I did. I took a pot and poured about 2 inches of water into it. He brought it to a boil, turned off the fire and put down the pedal rubber. As she prepared, I removed the old pedal, stretched, took a few deep breaths, and knew what to do. came. I fought for about 10 minutes. Sweating and cursing, trying to be comfortable and have a good pitch. Let me add something here. The pedals I received were exactly as pictured. And the corners don't need to be trimmed as they already have some sort of built-in slot. USE IT! Start at the top of the pedal. Bend the rubber at the top and press it against the brake frame. You should then be able to use your fingers to pull back the pedal's side rubber, working your way down each side. This leaves you with only the bottom edge to attach. It was very frustrating at first. I know I've come this far and I swear as soon as I start fumbling with the bottom the sides or the top will fall apart. Lol I took a short flathead screwdriver, smeared it with spit and was able to get it under a corner of the floor and then I was able to twist it sideways a bit. I was then able to use my finger to pry up the rubber and slide it all the way down. Trust me, when the last little piece snapped into place, I really thought I had somehow ripped the rubber and it would be ruined. up, but no. It was wonderful. Once I figured out I had to put the top in first, it took me maybe 8 minutes to complete the rest of the path. Looks great!
