Beautiful set. I've read previous reviews about thread shortages so I bought DMC thread from my fabric store and so far it's looking fantastic. Yes, this takes time, but this is where LOVE has to be put into creating this set. Exactly as described, actually even BETTER than I had hoped! Please don't let the naysayers put you off this kit. If you plan to follow the instructions, it's amazing. Matching the colors included in the scheme to the yarn included can be a challenge. Just get the DMC they provide numbers for and get these instead. For about $5 at the fabric store, this is a lot easier to make. Oh, and although I've done a lot of projects, it's been many years, so I consider myself a beginner now.
