We needed a small and quiet fan that could be placed anywhere in the house. My pregnant wife was very pleased that we could put this fan next to her while she slept and it didn't wake her with excessive noise. The batteries lasted longer than the device advertised, which was a pleasant surprise. The downside was the light bulbs that indicated charging. My wife held a fan in front of her face so that the flashing light would be a little distracting. With a piece of tape, we could see if the battery was fully charged and make sure the light wasn't distracting her from sleep. So no big deal.
