I bought a small one and put it on the doorstep. Works fine there too. I have to tell you that the exposed edges of the vinyl will warp and even crack if the carpet is stored on it for a period of time like mine. As it turns out, I still didn't like the edges and trimmed them off with scissors. It's easy to do. Just be careful not to cut the carpet pile. I couldn't give the product FIVE stars because the product was stored incorrectly (which split the edges). Anyone selling a product should know better.
