Chroma 3-1/4 " Paring Knife purchased December 2011

I bought this paring knife for my husband in November 2011. It was on his Christmas wish list. Although I personally found the handle design awkward, he went with it Happy with the knife and used it daily for peeling and slicing apples.Judging by the reviews and the Porsche name I think this is a quality tool.Unfortunately the knife fell on the ground recently and the blade is in half I have had quality knives for years and have never seen a steel blade do this. I could see if it was a ceramic blade but not steel. Our son is a professional chef and has never seen a steel knife blade break just because it fell off. We are very disappointed that we spent almost $50 on this little paring knife and it didn't even have a whole could use it for years. As it has been 30 days since purchase I doubt I can return it or exchange it for a new one but I will contact the seller and see what they do. I would not recommend this product.
