Review on πŸ”‹ OTC 3650 Heavy-Duty Remote Starter Switch for Enhanced SEO by Dave Sapp

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Another inexpensive OTC tool

This is a good quality remote start switch. It has a comfortable grip and push button, good 5ft wires with good insulation, decent spring terminals with proper solder points, and a red light to indicate the circuit is hot. The cables are also disconnected, the shift mechanism has a good rating, and there's even a 'Use Only When Idle' warning next to the ha button. OTC thinks of everything. This is a quality tool that should last a very long time on the starter magnets if used correctly (do not connect to ground or in series between battery and starter main terminal, between battery terminals, etc.). I'm not sure what "Made in the USA with International Ingredients" really means, but I'm pretty sure these ingredients come from China, like most other over-the-counter medicines. Still a good tool at a good price so I'm not complaining. Although some protection for the button (e.g. snap-on) would be nice. By the way. Remote start switches are most often not used to actually "start" the engine, but simply to start it, for example. when checking the compression in the cylinders. They're not really designed for slowly turning the crankshaft to adjust valve clearance (but if that works for you, fine). Recommended, definitely.
