I doubted something so small would be playable. I decided to jump because it was newer than any of the built-in sound cards in its price range and had excellent reviews. I'm not disappointed. It works with 3-pin headphones without a microphone without an adapter. for those with static (I had), I contacted support. You said to install the X-Plus configurator with a generic value (disconnect, install, reconnect) and then change the sample rate to 24/96 in Windows. I did, problem solved on my 3 pin headphones. If that doesn't work, remember, if you're using headphones without a mic, connect 3-pin to a 4-pin connector. It could be an open mic giving you feedback. Buying a microphone/headphone splitter and connecting a microphone might fix the problem. This applies to a 4-pin microphone/headphone combo as specified in the product description.
