The most attractive idea was to photograph what I saw through binoculars. Having the date and time in the photo is a plus. I have a small face - I couldn't adjust the eyepieces to accommodate it so I had to use one eye most of the time. I couldn't get a clear enough image to tell if the bird was far away, but when it was close enough the image was fine. So the image quality hits and misses
