an ordinary simple computer with GPS, but without Garmin.

I bought this bike computer a month ago because it has SMS, calls, etc. on the display. It also integrates with the Lezyne Smart Connect backlight. The battery life seems good and the display of the driving parameters is clearly visible. The price is really cheap. Those are the good points. Now for the bad. This isn't a touchscreen and the buttons are uncomfortable and very cramped. The display function does not show street names. If I turn off the computer, even the map files are lost and the map doesn't show up. Turning the light on and off is very tiring - it's a lot easier to just bend down and turn it on manually. You can only get phone data if you are running the Lezyne GPS Ally app on your phone. Turning off the computer again is tedious and requires multiple keystrokes to save or delete a trip record. Worst of all, the software is very buggy. When turning on the computer, it often shows a strange screen due to startup errors. The same happens when charging the battery. To restore you have to press and hold the button 2 for 30 seconds and then restart, which will erase your settings and data. Save money and get the Garmin Edge 830 instead, you won't regret it.

Pros
  • When connected to an iOS or Android portable device via the free Lezyne Ally V2 app, the device provides turn-by-turn navigation and phone notifications.
Cons
  • Nothing
