Edifier R1280DB bookshelf speakers with active Bluetooth are the perfect combination of sound quality and price for bookshelf speakers. The sound is rich and bright, with pretty good bass without a subwoofer. Just be realistic when it comes to sound with these speakers. They sound amazing, but without a subwoofer there's no bottom-end hum. I only mentioned this because I saw videos of users complaining about bass and expecting a lot more and deeper sound from 4 inch woofers. analog converter). I connect my computer to the speakers with an optical cable and use Bluetooth to connect my Echo Dot for music and my MacBook Pro for work. The Bluetooth connection is quick and fast. Connected devices are easy to disconnect, and the DB version has a much better remote control than its predecessor. I highly recommend these speakers. They do well in my home office space, but I also think they would work well for a home audio system in a medium sized bedroom or living room. As I mentioned earlier, if you're looking for deep bass, a subwoofer paired with these speakers is the perfect solution. You won't find better speakers in this price range.
