Every lens hood I've looked at has received negative reviews for showing up in pictures at the widest lens angle. The choice between $27 and $10 didn't matter, so I went with this one. It fits well, works well, the rubber hood can show a full circle in the picture at wide angle and fully extended. Both blends have neat threads that smoothly intertwine and don't bind. The tulip cap is not visible in the picture in the widest angle and long "leaves", oriented vertically. Both hoods were mounted over the UV filter, which expanded its position by about 1/8 inch.
