Prior to then, there were many versions of PremiumContact (2 and 5) on various machines, and only ever good feelings. TS860 and Winter VikingContact 7 are also faultless. But the sixth year contact falls short of expectations in some way. 215/65 16 on xc70. Wear is nearly at the indicators after two seasons and roughly 40 thousand miles (1-1.5 mm more than TWI). Wear to the aquaplaning indicator on two wheels (a water drop on the sidewall). Furthermore, both the front and the back axles exhibit uniform wear. Whether it be all-wheel drive (albeit it is not permanent), a fast highway run, or a car that is typically loaded to capacity. For the first season, there were no issues. On the second one, they began to make more noise, their balance deteriorated, and a high-speed vibration arose (balancing did not assist; the vibration disappeared after switching to a pair of winter shoes). Concerning handling, there are none. They accelerate and brake effectively. The transverse direction has high traction. Although it has a high profile and a soft sidewall, "Volkost" is not overly noticeable. This is a terrific rubber for great roads, as others have noted. It's tougher and noisier than you'd anticipate on rocky roads. I can't consider wear and tear to be drawbacks because they are a result of the exceptional grip characteristics.
