I shoot in APSC and FF modes and I usually shoot portraits with a Sony 1.8 APSC lens (75mm equivalent) for which I paid less. Takes this lens out of the water in terms of sharpness, autofocus speed and even OSS. The autofocus is good for controlled portraits and still subjects, but otherwise too slow. After reading the reviews, I expected acceptable sharpness, but my shots are always soft. I suspect Sony's FF kit zoom is sharper at 70mm. It's big and heavy. Too bad I bought it on sale but when I shoot portraits I bought it because I will never choose it.
