Review on Enhance Communication Performance with Gam3Gear SURECOM SW-33 Mark II 100W 125-525 MHz Mini Digital VHF UHF Two-Way Radio Handheld Power & SWR Meter by Max Rosengren

Sounds good. in CB and talkback radios

Easy to use on HT. I'll have to test how accurate it is in a few days when I get cables for another SWR/power meter (MFJ 842). From what I've read it's difficult to get consistent SWR test results because there are so many factors at play. for example how you hold the HT and how close/where it is in relation to your body. In any case, it is good to know if the antenna is damaged or if your radio is not delivering enough power. Have this as a portable as it is so small and as a backup for my MFJ. Everything looked new except for the USB cable that came with it, it was dirty and stained. I hope it wasn't a return. I noticed that a HT (ft65r) on VHF said 5.8 watts when it should be 5 watts. My VX6r showed 4.5W VHF. Know in a few days if this is accurate/correct. As said, it's nice to know if the antenna or radio is working, don't expect consistent results with SWR (this is not a meter error). When checking the wattage (wattage) the voltage of your HT batteries comes into play. You don't have to be very specific to know that something is wrong with your station.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgradeable
