These poles are more of a gray silver aluminum. Not real brushed nickel or polished chrome. They have an aluminum finish versus thicker nickel or chrome. I needed thin drawer handles for light cabinets in the laundry room. If you want to use a heavy drawer (e.g. pots/pans in a kitchen drawer) these aluminum handles may be too light. For comparison, I've included a photo of heavy polished chrome next to this lightweight aluminum. They work well for light applications and are affordable enough to try. A good product.
