I've tried other "solutions" to install my tracking radar and none of them worked as well as the window sucker method. However, every 3-5 years these things will crumble if they are exposed to heat or cold for a long time. Longer 80-90F summer weather will do this or longer winter weather around 15-25F. I can't imagine how fast these things must break down in places with more extreme temperatures. We reach these temperatures in just a few weeks. It doesn't stay that way for very long, but that's all it takes. If you live somewhere for a very long time, chances are it's constantly breaking. One day you get into your car and realize that the latch has disengaged by itself and the device has fallen out of the window. Auto, note that the suction has stopped, your device is on the floor, so pick up the device and open the latch to vacuum again, and the latch will break in your hand. You can try letting the mount cool down or warm up before attempting to open the latch, but that doesn't always work. Sometimes it's destined to explode even if you wait for it to return to normal temperature before touching it. Aside from extreme temperatures, which far too often destroy these things, they work in my opinion. It stays on the window and I try never to move it, hoping the latch will last as long as possible.
