Review on Graco CleanShot Shut-off Valve | Model 287030 by Rod Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Can be tilted backwards, not for one-hand operation.

I agree with everyone saying how great it is. At the same time, he kicks the extension quite hard when turning 90°. My plan was to hold my shield on an extension in one hand and a spray gun with a 30 inch extension in the other so I could walk around the house painting gutters without a ladder. The only unexpected problem was that it has such explosive power that when it actually fires, it ricochets off the atomizer tip a good 12 inches, so you end up spraying all over the place uncontrollably. It is best to have an assistant operate the screen while you use both hands - one on the trigger and the other on the extension/nebulizer. In addition, it worked surprisingly well and I was completely satisfied. Saves me tons of time and energy as I don't have to move or climb stairs. Also, someone noticed that the paint was seeping everywhere. I had the same problem and had to use a wrench to tighten it after which it stopped leaking.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Unreliability
