While I was away, a lightning strike near my house burned the last Trendnet router. My wife went to a local dealer and, on the seller's recommendation, bought a better branded router that was priced the same as the AC3000. When I got home I quickly found that the range was less outdoors and even indoors it was difficult to connect depending on which band was selected. I immediately ordered the Trendnet AC3000 and the performance and features of this router clearly put any other brand to shame. If you want a futuristic or cool looking router choose another brand, if you need speed and reliability choose Trendnet.
